I have been a skilled carpenter for over 20 years and have worked in all aspects of remodeling. When I was first starting out I worked under many experienced contractors learning all aspects of the construction business, from roofing, siding houses, flooring, windows and doors, plumbing, interior remodeling, finishing basements, fine finish trim work and everything in between.
I have been in business for myself since 1994 and still maintain relationships with many of those contractors today that will sub out specialty work to me from time to time. I have gone from running my business and having employees work for me, to back to what I truly enjoy which is wearing a tool belt and getting my hands dirty. I realized that management was not for me as I am too much of a perfectionist and to get the job done right, to my standards of quality, I just have to do it myself.
